How 7 Stylish People Are Spending Their Tax Refunds

It’s tax season and yes, filing is usually a pain, but the good thing about it is that at the end of it all, a lot of us wind up getting back a little sumthin’ sumthin’ from the government for being good, hardworking, taxpaying citizens. Of course, besides using returns to take care of adult things, tax season is the perfect opportunity for us grownups to treat ourselves to something pretty with the extra cash.
We asked seven stylish people what goodies they plan to pick up when they get their refunds. See below what is on everyone’s wish lists.

“I’m obsessed with Gucci right now, so I can’t wait to get my hands on one of their beautifully printed and embellished bags. I’ve also got my eye on the broderie anglaise cotton coat from Sacai. It’s part biker and part parka. I love how it still looks tough in the lace. It’s such a strong piece. I know I’ll wear it to death.”

“The new Gucci aesthetic has me obsessed with rings, specifically signet rings. So I would spend my return on a vintage carnelian band platinum signet ring from my buddy Alan Bedwell’s store Foundwell. He has great taste, and curates the most interesting selection of men’s estate pieces. David Yurman also makes a nice gold signet with bee design that I am interested in.”

“Having a good carry-on is important; however, it’s one of those things you’re likely to postpone buying. When tax return comes, I’d definitely spend it on this practical black aluminum Rimowa, which would travel with me for years to come.”

“The spring A.W.A.K.E. collection was one of my favorites. I can’t wait to pair this off-the-shoulder top with skin-tight Levi’s and Sade hoops.”

“I do my best to be conservative with my tax refund and not spend all of it; the goal is to save 50%. But when I spend, I like to invest in something timeless for my home — usually a sturdy and high-quality furniture item. This year I’ve got my eye on the French Empire glass media console from Restoration Hardware. I have adult living room goals!”

“I would spend my whole tax return on a ring from Mociun. The emerald, diamond and black diamond sitting on my pinkie is so decadent!”
